Dealing with a Cluster Migraine

When it comes to migraines, there are many different types and kinds that you need to be aware of. One of the most painful types of migraines is a cluster migraine. A cluster migraine is a headache that you are going to feel in different pockets of your head. There will be spaces of pain all over your head, perhaps behind your eyes, or in the back of your head, and these different spots will all be the places that you feel the most pain.

Other Symptoms

There are other symptoms of a cluster migraine, and these are what can make the headache especially terrible. If you are experiencing a cluster migraine, you might feel that you are sensitive to light and also to sound. This might mean that you feel you can be nowhere except in a dark and quiet room. You might also have sensitivity to different temperatures, such as heat or cold, so you might have to put yourself in a place where the temperature doesn't aggravate your headache.

Some other symptoms include a lack of motivation, an inability to sleep, and general upset stomach and sick feeling. If you are having all of these symptoms at the same time, you are probably having a cluster migraine, and as you know, they can make your life unbearable.

What Can You Do about these Headaches?

There are several things that you can do to help yourself if you are having a cluster migraine. First of all, try to find a quiet place and lay down, somewhere that is dark and has a comfortable temperature. You should take some medicine that is specially designed for migraines, and try to sleep if you can. Sleeping is a good way to rid yourself of a cluster migraine. If you cant' sleep, you should relax and meditate, trying to think about other things, or not think of anything at all.

Another good thing that you can do is to keep your thoughts positive and so some deep breathing exercises. These are all ways that can help getting over your cluster migraine. A cluster migraine is something that you should keep track of, and if you have them often you should talk to your doctor, because perhaps there is a reason for them or there is something else that you can do so that you don't suffer any longer.
