Testing the Waters with a Lower Back Temporary Tattoo

While lower back tattoos are becoming more popular today than they were in the past, with more varieties of people branching out to get them, there are still some people who would like to explore the option of getting a tattoo, but are wary of the permanent nature of tattoos. In order to test out the tattoo option, some women are turning to lower back temporary tattoos. These tattoos are made from henna and usually last at least a week before starting to fade and eventually disappear. Lower back temporary tattoos allow women to experiment with various patterns and designs before deciding on one that they may want to have permanently. Lower back temporary tattoos are also a fun option for those who have a party or event coming up where they want to do something a little different from the norm without doing something permanent to their body.

Types of Designs

Lower back temporary tattoos can be done in a variety of different designs and patterns. It is really up to the imagination of the individual and the artist to determine what picture or pattern might be right for that particular woman or for that occasion. Popular lower back temporary tattoos are tribal tattoos which are patterned after African and Native American designs. These tattoos usually have a thicker line to them so that the ends of the lines can end in points. These tattoos usually cover the entire lower back, although there are some smaller versions of them as well, and have a slight 'V' shape so that the tip of the 'V' dips slightly into the pant line while the rest of the tattoo curves up and out toward the hips, following the natural curve of the woman's body.

Another popular version of a lower back temporary tattoo is the flower designs. In this version, there is sometimes just a solitary flower that sits in the center of the lower back either fully exposed or partially exposed from the pant line. In other versions the flower is surrounded by vines, leaves and branches, or other patterns so that the flower is accented by the artwork behind it. Suns are also popular patterns to use in lower back temporary tattoos, which are normally found alone, sitting center in the lower back. Other options are lower back dolphin tattoos or sometimes insects which seem to be either swimming or flying just above the woman's pant line. These creatures are usually found solitary in temporary lower back tattoos, but are sometimes found in groups.
